TLP version 2.0 is the current version of TLP standardized by FIRST. It is authoritative from August 2022 onwards. 1. Introduction. a. The Traffic Light Protocol (TLP) was created to facilitate greater sharing of potentially sensitive information and more effective collaboration.
TLP markings and their definitions are more comprehensive and accessible. TLP 2.0 brings two major changes: • TLP:CLEAR replaces TLP:WHITE. • The new TLP:AMBER+STRICT supplements TLP:AMBER, designating that the information may be shared with the recipient’s organization only.
