2018年10月31日 · I just started playing TF2 again, but now I'm playing on a mid-end pc from 2016 instead of the laptop I played on before. There's just this one thing - The game usually runs at 80 fps, but it still feels laggy. I have a bunch of low fps-dips and alot of input lag, which makes the game rather hard to play. Does anyone know the cause of this?

2022年3月6日 · If your steam is installed onto your SSD, and TF2 is downloaded onto your HDD, you will get issues. The simplest fix I found was to uninstall TF2 and reinstall it on the same drive that steam is installed on. This fixed My issues with stuttering, and even improved FPS above normal. hope this helps.

2018年3月27日 · I have a full connection to the server, and my ping is fine, but it's still super laggy to the point where it's unplayable. I've never had any issues at all with lag on this game. It's easy to run, so my FPS is fine, and my internet connection works on other games like CSGO.

2022年6月22日 · This lag just happens after I die, never had this kind of problem when playing TF2 until today which is pretty annoying having to wait +20 seconds just to respawn again. My PC specs: 6 RAM Windows 10 Discord and Steam open (duhh, also this lag still happens with WE and DC closed) 64Bits

Get these mods. mastercomfig (you wont be able to do jackshit without this) gamebanana (personalized mods, can improve preformance) huds.tf or toonhud (HUDs, way better than default hud) put this into your tf2 launch settings-novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -precachefontchars -noquicktime

2012年6月13日 · pretty sure it's the wireless thing. wireless gaming will probably never be lag-free. if you can, buy an ethernet cable (it's possible to buy very long eth cables) and connect your pc with your router or switch. could be your isp as well. try chris' bad connection settings, might help a bit, but there's only so much you can do against a connection dropping.

But I’ve been getting severe lag spikes the last two weeks, no idea what’s the cause, I’ve tried several things, network configs, turned my graphics from very high to late PS1 era games graphics, uninstalled and reinstalled TF2.
