2021年9月26日 · Heads for several Teac models will fit your rig, including A-1030, A-1300, A-2010, A-2050, A-2060, A-2070, A-2080, A-2100, A-2500, A-4000, A-4010/S/SL (but not GSL), and probably others. There were over 200,000 A-4010 machines sold so you can find those quite easily. Don't worry about the erase head (leftmost).

2015年11月6日 · The Teac "A"-Series decks are pretty bulletproof, they are good, strong workhorses without excess complexity. The "X"-Series are at the other end of the spectrum, lots of bells and whistles, but they have a lot more things that can go out of adjustment, such as the ability to playback and record in both directions, "Return-to-zero" function, etc.

2017年2月25日 · It's a solid deck and from the mid to late 70's and when in good nick, can be a great deck to get started in for R2R. A TEAC 2300S, SX, or 3300S, SX in good shape, are the closest things to plug and play there is in 2017. I would avoid auto-reverse decks; the relays tend to give issues at this point (channel drop-outs).

2025年3月30日 · You might want to go with the LED replacement, but they just don't look "vintage" in this application. You can adjust the brightness with a series resistor, or some semi opaque film if necessary. That said a replacement bulb will last another 40 years or so ..... 2008年7月2日 · Most Teac/Tascam decks I've dealt with have 7 1/2 IPS with either 3 3/4 or 15IPS. The 7.5/15 machines usually have 2-track/2-channel heads and can handle 10" reels. The 3.75/7.5 have 4-track/2-channel and can only go up to 7" reels. One anomaly are 4-track/4-channel heads (for quadraphonic sound), which I've seen with either set of speeds.

2025年1月8日 · To do record heads, you inject a signal and adjust record head until you get the 45 degree line. Some of the older techs tell me they prefer to use dual channel mode to adjust azimuth. You get more R and L channel information. You can also adjust the scope to position the traces on top of one another.
