2014年3月6日 · The tcp[/port] or udp[/port] argument specifies that the ASA should use TCP or UDP to send syslog messages to the syslog server. The permit-hostdown keyword allows TCP logging to continue when the syslog server is down. You can configure the ASA to send data to a syslog server using either UDP or TCP, but not both. The default TCP port is 1470.

2019年7月9日 · Within NXOS there is no available way to transmit syslog data over TCP akin to [logging host x.x.x.x transport tcp] on IOS XE systems is there? The only way I am aware of to transport syslog data over TCP on NXOS is to setup a secure TCP server [logging server x.x.x.x secure] but this then changes the port from 514 to 6514 right?

2018年1月10日 · I'm trying to get our syslog messages from a 4500 switch sent to our syslog server. I duplicated the same config that I was using from a differnet switch that's a 2960. However, the 2960 is sending info to the syslog server but the 4500 isn't. I attached the running-configs for both the 2960 and 4500. Any help is appreciated.

2022年1月28日 · For the FTD you can change the external Syslog server port through the Platform Setting policy, however, if you are trying to change the forwarding port of the FTD/IPS events to the FMC then in that case you would need to change the secure tunnel port on the FTD.
