For some reason your Euro spec'ed std jetting is richer our std jetting over here, which is NECJ #3, a 48 pilot and a 168 main. The power jet on the RM is on between 2-3000 rpm's, and then shuts off and is again on at 9300 to 10500 rpm's.

The worst part about it,.. all the people who own newer ones telling you to get this upgrade or that upgrade or to get a newer one..when they have NO clue about your finances or what not. I have been happy with the bike and wrenching on it..

2011年7月1日 · In late 96 friend of mine bought a brand new 97 RM 250 which he must have put 300+ hrs on over 2 years up to late 98 when he sold the RM and bought a new 99 CR 250. He had the CR about 3 or 4 weeks before he traded it on a 99 RM 250, he still says the CR was the worst mx bike he has ever ridden and that his old 97 RM was the best bike he ever ...

2008年1月15日 · If the 00 250 has the water pump in the cases, be prepaired to split the cases when the seal gives up. I know the 01 250 has the conventional style of water pump cos I had one, and loved it . If someone out there could clarify if it was the 99 or the 00 that was the last model to run the water pump in the cases.

2014年2月27日 · I vintage race a 1982 RM 250 and and it is a great bike. Very fast and the best suspension ever. The bike feels light and is light. The bike turns great too. They are very reliable and make a good post vintage mount.

2007年4月10日 · The RM 250 has always been known for precise handling, but the gnarley but tractable power and more natural riding position calm the demanding chassis somewhat. Even though the 250 has a tighter fork offset than the 125, the stability at speed and safe feeling on high-speed straights and jumps is welcome.
