2015年10月9日 · Sulfadimethoxine has a 35 day egg withdrawal time. Yes amprolium has no withdrawal but it is a static drug and will you will lose birds if they are sick with coccidia--you need the cidal drug = sulfa.

Most people use an egg withdrawal of 3 weeks, but there is no real egg withdrawal time, because as most antibiotics, it is not approved for poultry. Very interesting to know that hens are born with all their ova. Not sure what to make of this. What exactly happens after 16 weeks of age that makes the drug no longer safe to give to egg-laying hens?

2016年6月25日 · The dosage for Sulfadimethoxine is 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon of water depending on how severe the case is. If your birds are really suffering with gummy mucus coming out of the nostrils, gummy eyes, etc...I would go with 1 teaspoon per gallon. Make new batch daily for no more than 7 days. Sulfa drugs are too hard to use past this length of time.
