2022年6月1日 · I would advise to stay with the xm3. The xm5 have a software issue, where the full anc is only activated if external loudness passes a certain threshold. That is in my estimation quite high, so most of the time you will be stuck on "normal" mode, and here, the xm3 will cancel up to twice as much noise as the xm5. I have used xm3,4,5 in the past.

2022年1月13日 · TL;DR: The Sony WH-XM3s are a great pickup only if they are on sale in 2021. If the XM4s are only a few 20-30 more, I do recommend spend a bit more for those. My 1000xm3 right side started making whistling noise, looped mic sound, and accessing Sony Music app and adjusting noise cancellation from 0 to 1 made the mic loop whistle stop. It would not occured to me to even look at the app, I was about to return my headphones, I tryed reset, nothing worked. Thank you much!

2019年1月5日 · Finally, a measured review of the XM3. I completely agree with your assessment of its sound quality. Get the XM3 for ANC; on a cross-country flight, it's completely worth the price. Sony got a lot of things right with this headset, including the ergonomics, but they apparently felt the need to compete with a consumer sound profile.

2020年10月9日 · I have no idea how to avoid that, i still have warranty so i will try to send my headphones to Sony and check if there really is any problem. My Opinion about 4.5.2 and 2.0.0: 4.5.2 - I really think, sony did this update to make xm3 anc weaker because they wan't to sell newest one sony wh-1000xm4, this is my opinion.
