Somizi Buyani Mhlongo (born 23 December 1972) is a South African television presenter, socialite and fashion designer. In 1992, he appeared on the musical and political film, Sarafina! which gained him prominence. [2]

In 2018, Somizi was the red-carpet host for the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100. He most recently co-hosted the 2020 KZN Entertainment Awards. In 2017, Somizi become one of the co-host of MetroFM’s breakfast show The Fresh Breakfast Show alongside the lead host DJ Fresh and soccer presenter Mpho Letsholonyane.
