The SNU Archaeological Science Labs are devoted to the study of human interactions with past environments. There are multiple spaces focusing on the analysis of different materials: the Archaeobotany Lab, the Zooarchaeology Lab, the Archaeometry Lab, the Archaeological Materials Lab, the Palaeolithic Materials lab, and the wet chemistry lab.

SNU Laser Laboratory at Seoul National University, led by Prof. Yoonchan Jeong, explores the outer reaches of photonics science and technology, especially, in high-power and high-energy regimes. The research foci are on developing innovative lasers and photonic systems and also on providing novel and powerful solutions to the related applications.

Under supervision of Prof. Kyoung Mu Lee, various topics in computer vision field have been researched and developed. We mainly focus on extracting, reconstructing and recognizing the information of object, person and 3D environments from digital images to have artificial intelligence close to human.

Our current research topics include nano-pattern technology, artificial biological membranes, next-generation organic integrated devices and displays, organic solar cells, nano optics, nano-optic integration methods, photon signal processing, photon logic devices, 3-D display, holograms, plasmonics, meta materials, super-radiant lasers, etc.
