2013年12月4日 · I have done quite a few euro skull mounts, but never an artificial skull mount. Any feedback on the slotted skull vs. the skull with pedicles. I am concerned about the pedicle mount .... getting the antlers mounted at the correct angle. My problem with the slotted would be hoping to match the original skull to the plastic.

2009年1月23日 · Hey everybody! I'm looking for the best way, or the best product to use, to seal a "European Skull Mount". I've got the process down pat in cleaning them and bleaching them, but I'm having a hard time finding some way of sealing them that won't "yellow" over time. Most of the spray sealers that I've used have turned slightly over time.

2022年12月1日 · Locally the price range seems to be between 80-200 for a skull mount. I certainly wouldn't consider pricing any skull in the 80 dollar range! I'm just not sure what others would consider a fair price for a decent quality bear or deer skull. (Not trying to start a debate about what that exactly means) My skulls are not museum quality specimens.

2017年12月3日 · I have had at least 4 trophy skulls that I was asked to salvage that had been sealed with Elmer's. All were just dirty and shades of grey to brown and a dull surface on them that was layers of dust and dirt incorporated into the glue.

2014年11月8日 · This is the way they were done years ago. The actual skull was modeled with string, clay and tose (wood fiber) to make the head. If this is what is underneath, you will already have most of the skull but you will have to clean it off. If the mount is newer and a foam mannikin was used, you probably will only have the rack and a skull plate.

2019年4月23日 · It if for archery and you only get one tag, one fish. I have heard the meat is excellent and if it's a female the roe is great to. A paddle fish trip is probably going to be a one time deal for me. That is why I wanted to mount it if it's a good one. I am very new to mounting fish. Have only mounted one skin mount and finished three replicas.

2015年12月15日 · I got stuck with a fix it project I really didn't want on a euro mount. Just curious if you guys have a special color/brand for white painting on skulls? Would prefer airbrush lacquers out of taxidermy catalogs but would be open to a menards brand spray can. I never had much luck in the past getting the right color.
