can I use/convert a toilet drain to a sink drain
2017年1月5日 · I could permanently plug the toilet drain and then drill a hole and bring in the 2" drain that is tied to the sewer below the toilet (I removed), but that is extra work not necessary if I just use the toilet drain for my sink drain. I was thinking of a 4" to 2" adapter and then using a basic P trap (or S trap) to tie into the toilet drain direct.

In the instructions that came it suggests using 100% silicone under the flange, but in youtube videos people always seem to apply plumbers putty.

2019年2月28日 · Plumbers putty under the flange top inside the sink. Nothing on the gasket under the sink or on the threads. Although I am a bit picky and always add a Teflon pipe dope on the top of the gasket were it meets the sink. But again not needed. A little messy and I had maybe 1 out of 50 that leaked.

Well, I have noticed a very small leak in the drain line. The leak is comming from the connection after the bottom of the sink. I believe it is a slip connection.

I have two, both of which won't work because they need a flat surface to seat against, with some putty.
