2021年5月21日 · This Art Deco statuette lighter has no flint - there are two batteries in the base of the lighter. You remove the wand (which you fill with lighter fluid) place it against the metal rail and then press the tip against the statute. It forms a connection and creates a flame. I think it’s the coolest thing in the world.

2020年7月29日 · There's two C batteries in the base, and an open circuit between the rails and the statuette. The lighter has a metal rod, and the tube itself is metal. Touching the wand to the rail and statuette heats a small wire, lighting the wick. From what I've found online, it was manufactured from 1935 to 1944. Original box and instructions

2021年6月7日 · So I brought it home and did all of the initial stuff to get it going: new C size batteries, lighter fluid in the wand. It would not work. I finally got around to disassembling it today and cleaning all of the metal contact strips, bending them back out to make sure they were making contact with the batteries, etc. Lo and behold, it works now!

To light a cigarette the wand is pulled out from the base and touched against one of the rails and the figure (tip on figure, side on rail).

2022年2月28日 · It's called a Silent Flame lighter. It takes two 1.5v batteries, though I can't remember if it takes D cells or C cells. I'm leaning towards C cell but I'm not 100% sure.
