I chose the SIG 522 because it had a metal upper which I feel is better for mounting optics and being able to remove & reinstall with minimal impact.

2023年9月26日 · The actual Swiss stocks are stupid expensive. The U.S. made stock (same style) that Sig used on the 556/522 can be found for @ $200 or less. Unfortunately, that AGP stock only works on the M4 buffer tube style lower receivers that were used on the early US 556 models...the 522 has the side folding receiver.

2023年10月21日 · I bought my Sig 522 in 2011 at Big-5 on super-sale. Even though I live in a frre state, this gun came with the flash supressor soldered on. My LGS removed it and re-threaded the barrel. It appears that they just soldered a factory threaded barrel.

2016年2月23日 · I have a Sig P522 rifle with the non-adjustable folding stock. I love the rifle, but I rather dislike the stock. I checked the Sig Store, but they do not have any replacement stocks for the P522. I am looking for something with an adjustable LOP. Any ideas?

2011年6月30日 · I have a Sig 516 patrol & a Sig 522 swat. I haven’t have any issues at all with any of them. Just yesterday i shot 200rds through the 516 with out any problems and shot over 300rds with the 522. From my experience: Sig 522: Shot over 2000rds and had only about 5 misfires 3 of them due to bulk ammo. cleaning is done in 10 mins.

2015年5月10日 · I have two 522's, a short barrel 16" with the standard hand guard and a 20" barrel with the swat hand guard. I had the 20" barrel machined for a compensator. I have essential tremor so I am shaky all the time and mostly shoot from the bench with a bipod. Most of my inaccuracy comes from the long heavy trigger pull on the 522's.
