2007年2月18日 · The oiiling system need not be changed since both Evo and Shovelhead lifters pump up through the lifter blocks in the same manner. The Shovelhead already oils the heads through the rocker arms up top and the oil goes back down the cylinder and or tubes. No oil need be sent up through the pushrods in any case,

2009年2月22日 · I took a hdy lifter shovel to solid using the inserts (S&S) I didnt plug anyting and ran the BH grind cam. it ran fine . well this was a solid lifter motor stock and I put in hdy. bent a couple valves and then put the inserts in the hdy lifters.they were a little noisey but they all were LOL I beat the piss out of it .

2007年8月14日 · I just finished with the top end rebuild of my 83 shovelhead. installed a b grind cam, rebuilt the heads and rocker boxes, new tappets w/solid lifters and 40 over pistons. Have Pro-clutch as well. The bike runs good has good power when cold,front end comes up acouple inches shifting 4 grand into 2nd gear. What I have expected.

2015年11月28日 · They are unreliable and noisy. Your lifters look rough as well as the tappet, block. Real solids do not have a flat with an oil feed hole, they fill with oil, bad for conversions. Use 10-32 set screws and red loctite to block the oil passages in the tappet blocks. Drain those lifters, and seal the holes. Or replace all them with real solid lifters.

2010年7月24日 · I have an 81 Shovelhead with stock hydralic lifters. I did a recent rebuild and did the drie lifter adjustment. After worm-up I have a ticking lifter at idle. I've been told to trie a heavier weight oil and I can also do a 1/4 turn adjustment to my pushrod length.
