My hair is finally growing back and it is all gray. No more dark streak. I am so tired of professionals blaming everything on stress! Chemo did a lot of permanent damage to my heart, my veins, and my brain. I don't have a hard time at all believing it is responsible for the color of my new hair, nor the texture. Chemo is powerful stuff!

Deen, I know just how you feel. My hair didn't start growing back until about 6 1/2 weeks after my last DD A/C. I had no other chemo. You can see how much hair I have now, at the thread on Hair Growth Pics. Those pics were taken at about 1 year post treatment. Yeah, at first it grows reaallllly slowly, then it just seems to take off.

I have a friend who was diagnosed about a year after I was, and the hair loss was very hard for her. She wore wigs all the time, even to bed at night. Her hair came back very quickly after chemo, and that's a blessing for her. Mine took a long time, but it has returned, mostly, and I have a cute, if short hairstyle now.

This is amazing to read and see! What an inspiration! I did not even know about cold capping when I started chemotherapy. I ended up losing all my hair. After one year, my hair has grown back somewhat but is very short and thin. Because of that, I am still wearing my remi hair wig which looks just like my original hair before chemotherapy.

2017年7月1日 · This is 7 months post final chemo. I had my hair cut at 6 months. There is the hair that stayed thru chemo and underneath it is the hair growing out. It looks like teased hair with the hair growing in under it. Apparently those curls are from Cytoxin. Once I hit the 6 month mark PFC, I finally stopped losing my hair.

Then I had an already scheduled hair appt 8 days after surgery so I had my hair dresser wash me twice and scrub really hard because I felt so disgusting. Then another 10 days later I went to Great Clips and had them wash me twice and scrub hard too. I had four drains and they were covered with clear tegaderm so I was able to shower after 48 hours.

My first post-chemo hair was that wispy, thin, colorless stuff. The fine wisps grew out to a house-mouse gray-brown color by 4 months post-chemo. My hair had never been that color. Within another 2 or 3 months, though, the medium-brown color was back, with lots of curls. I'm now 20 months post-chemo.
