2018年3月14日 · This has happened to me numerous times. I've never been able to find decent replacement hooks, not even my local shoe repair guy (and he's good) knows where to get them Very annoying. Anybody here got a source or workaround?

2010年8月16日 · If it's a "wrinkle" on the top of your foot you can try changing up the lacing pattern in that area or as you're tightening the laces, you will have to constantly tuck the tongue into the boot on each side of the foot between the boot body and your foot, similar to what you have to do with old military Fast-lace boots with the fully attached tongue.

2011年2月1日 · Throw a bunch in your BOB. Might need them to tie something together. They are thin enough to poke through material and re 'sew' a button back on if you take the paper off. Or tie up blankets for a curtian , or replace a shoe lace. Pot ring for holding a soup can over fire with a stick? Tie your fresh killed squirrel to a stick before roasting it?

2022年5月17日 · Both the videos and the book have very detailed step-by-step instructions. The LON instructions are for a Huron style shoe. It took a bit of experimentation and adjustment to make them work for a Yukon style shoe. I had to redo each section on the first shoe 8 or 10 times to get everything the way I wanted it.

2020年1月14日 · I’ll buck the trend. I wear sneakers for everything except where work requires safety toes. I mountain hunt in them, snow shoe, run, back pack etc. My feet are warmer and more comfortable in a breathable shoe than a boot. If it’s sloppy wet I’ll wear a neoprene sock. Gaiters are used if debris down the top is an issue.

Then you take a single strand, unwoven from a hunk of 3-strand rope, pass it through the anchor holes at the edge of the sail and re-weave it into half of a loop.

2008年12月20日 · Now you've sewn the back and trimmed up the front the last step is to put the moc on punch holes and lace up the front. When I say lace I mean it should look like a regular shoe in the front, with a tongue and shoe laces. If I get time I'll make one this week and take some pics they are a lot easier than it sounds and kinda fun.
