Shaktism (/ ˈsæktɪzəm /; Sanskrit: शाक्तसम्प्रदायः, romanized:Śāktasampradāyaḥ) is a major Hindu denomination in which the supreme deity or parabrahma ultimate reality is considered to be the divine mother Adi Parashakti also commonly known as Durga.

Shakti (Devanagari: शक्ति, IAST: Śakti; lit. 'energy, ability, strength, effort, power, might, capability') [1] in Hinduism, is the "Universal Power" that underlies and sustains all existence.
