2019年1月2日 · Seiko had a shutter size with slightly bigger diameter cell threads (not sure if it was both front and back) than Copal 1 - both the older Fujinon 210/5.6 and 250/6.7 lenses came in that size. Later those lenses came in regular Copal 1 shutters.

2024年10月20日 · There is a Seiko shutter that looks like a Copal #1 - same body size, but the Seiko has a different mounting thread and lens cell threads, slightly larger. I have a Fujinon 210/5.6 that uses one of these shutters. It requires a M46x0.75mm retaining ring vs the usual Copal M39x0.75mm.

The Seikosha is a high quality, Japanese made shutter used on many Japanese rangefinder and TLR cameras. Minolta, Mamiya and Ricoh cameras often use this shutter or one of its variants. Several versions of the Seikosha and Seiko shutters were made.

I think they're quite beautiful to behold. And if you think of it, what company would be better equipped to make affordable mechanical devices that need to operate in 1000ths of a second?
