2015年8月1日 · Well, today after installing some new updates, the search box disappeared from the task bar and I was not given the option to enable it again. I am now downgrading to Windows 8.1 and upgrading again to Windows 10 to fix this issue.

Since yesterday (15/01/2019) the search box on the taskbar will not accept any typing input. Normal behavior: Click in the white box where it says "Type here to search", and type. New, incorrect behavior: Click in the white box where it says "Type here to search", but the box turns from white to grey, and does not accept any input.

Have tried restarting Windows Search, running the ctfmon program, changing menu alignment, etc. Nothing has fixed this. 2018年3月22日 · Select Show search box. If the above doesn't work, try opening taskbar settings. Select Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar. If you have the Use small taskbar buttons toggle set to On, you will need to turn this Off to see the search box. Also, make sure the Taskbar location on screen is set to Bottom.

2024年10月14日 · I have an issue when I use the New Outlook Desktop application. When I initially open it, the search bar on top is there and visible. After some time it will disappear along with all the options in the top right corner (minimize, close, settings, etc). The only way to get it back seems to close Outlook completely and reopen it.
