Threw together a quick handload of 140 amax over 41.5 grains of H4350 which I believe is close to what the Hornady factory load used to be on the 140 amax. What an easy shooter...

2020年12月29日 · Really should be 20s vs MR308 A3-28 - 20" but since HK are total dicks we cant get those sexy RAL8000 guns in the US so i guess the mr762a1 with the aftermarket g28 stock is as close as it gets. Which if its between those two the scar 20s is a better gun for precision work IMO better trigger, better stock, better barrel.

2019年1月28日 · This is also my first SCAR. I looked at a FDE SCAR 17 a week earlier and was going to pull the trigger on it. When I called the gun shop it had sold. Wasn't meant to be and I ended up with a 20 instead, which after all I am glad. The 20s comes standard with Geissele trigger on it, which the 17 is gritty stock.

2020年6月14日 · sr25 is a great rifle, but the scar 20s is quite a bit different from the scar-h. many people that actually hated the scar 17s love the 20s. That goes double for sustained fire. For those familiar with the AR-10 platform, the SCAR has a very different recoil profile.

2023年12月5日 · Ask yourself why you never see scar 20s in high level comps, but you do see large (and small) frame ARs. For all their shortcomings the DI AR is a VERY accurate system, and while pistons are the rage, no one has really built a piston system that competes with the AR in accuracy. I wish I knew why--but you just don't see them in Precision Arena.

2020年9月24日 · To my understanding, FN wanted to release the Scar 20S as close (excluding color) to the military version as possible, which included the barrel twist and barrel profile for the muzzle device. I have no regrets and have no intent on re-barreling. I'm still impressed that they released a 6.5 Creedmoor version.

The Scar 20 is a 1000yrd gun but not much more than that. If you run a proper brake and or a suppressor, the recoil isn’t too bad but it’s definitely not a bench rest/competition gun. If you go with the scar if consider the vortex razor series for glass simply because of their warranty. Check out the APC308 as well.
