Sariwŏn (Korean: 사리원; Korean pronunciation: [sa.ɾi.wʌn]) is a city in North Korea. It is the capital and largest city of North Hwanghae Province. The city's population as of 2008 is 307,764. Sariwŏn is divided into 31 tong (neighbourhoods) and 9 ri (villages):

The capital of North Hwangae Province, Sariwon is a sleepy little city of just over 300,000 inhabitants. It’s best known for its high level of agricultural and science-based universities, agricultural factories and grape wine production. 2019年10月1日 · Formerly a small rural town on the southern side of the Taedong river estuary, Sariwon was transformed into a significant regional centre in 1915 with the development of a new railway line. Today, Sariwon city serves as the provincial seat of North Hwanghae Province and is a major centre for North Korea’s agriculture industry.
