2012年1月16日 · as far as rc boats dealing with waves, i would think scale would have a lot to do with it. a 563' destroyer taking on 16' waves is rough (been there). but a 47" model of the same ship facing 12" of wave is a whole different matter.

2024年6月3日 · I have run numerous SCALE boats, numerous times, over the years in the saltwater pond in San Diego. First, the boats always STAY dry inside, anyway. Second, I use a Silicone Grease designed for Aviation / Military uses. It has a working temp of from -40* to +400*, and has corrosian resistant properties.

2016年4月17日 · Good beginner boats would be Victoria or DragonForce 65. Small enough to keep fully rigged (both are 4' top of mast to bottom of ballast), big enough to perform well. The Victoria will out perform the Dragon in light airs, the Dragon comes into its own as the wind gets up and the Victoria becomes a bit of a handful.

I would be sure to use Hatch Sealing Tape and plenty of marine grease or SuperLube 21030 Synthetic Grease(it's impervious to saltwater) on the shaft. 2016年4月25日 · Check out new product called saltaway, works great for flushing saltwater out of motor and esc cooing systems. I use a 1 gallon milk jug premixed with saltaway hooked up to a hand crank rc fuel pump. Very simple with outstanding results. Cheers Buckman

2014年8月22日 · None of the RTR boats that I know of, will be Salt Water friendly. But you can build a scale boat, to run in salt water without having any problems, by building with certain materials. But a fast electric is going to be harder, because they tend to get "some spray," or "water," inside of the boat, and the salt water will cause corrosion, and rust.
