Saintfield (from Irish Tamhnaigh Naomh, meaning 'Field of Saints') [3] is a village and civil parish in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is about halfway between Belfast and Downpatrick on the A7 road.

History of Saintfield AMcC. Francis Hutcheson was born in the Manse of Saintfield Presbyterian Church, at Drumalig, in 1694. He is probably the person from Saintfield who has had most impact on the world, through his philosophical writings in the eighteenth century.

The Saintfield Church of Ireland is in Main Street, right in the centre of town on the north side and has the graveyard surrounding it. The church was built in 1776 to replace an earlier church in Tonaghmore townland and repaired in 1812.

2014年3月7日 · SAINTFIELD HOUSE, near Saintfield, County Down, was built ca 1750 by Francis Price. It is a double gable-ended house of three storeys over a basement. It has a five-bay front and a three-bay rear. The house had single storey three-bay wings which ended in two-storey two-bay pavilions with high pyramidal roofs and central chimneys.
