Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all

Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6) on water and sanitation, adopted by United Nations Member States at the 2015 UN Summit as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, provides the blueprint for ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

“The UN-Water Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG 6 will work with all UN Member States to ensure that by 2030, data on all SDG 6 global indicators is available for all countries, providing a robust basis for the analysis of gaps, and stimulating debate on needs and means of acceleration of the delivery of SDG 6 targets.

Additionally, the Global Sustainable Development Report is produced once every four years to inform the quadrennial SDG review deliberations at the General Assembly.
