2018年4月15日 · I recently picked up SFV with the launch of Arcade Edition. I've made a small list with easy-to-perform combos for Ryu in SFV-AE 3.5 to help with my practice. I thought I'd share it as this might be helpful to other beginners. All combos have a demonstration and list the notation/inputs, damage and stun.

2020年2月14日 · Ryu's jumping MP puts the opponent into a juggle state, so another move, like a canceled air Tatsu (QCB+K) can hit them for a juggle. V-trigger combos. Any grounded normal attack and some special/EX moves can be cancelled with a move called V-trigger if the red V gauge is full by pressing HP+HK.

2023年5月20日 · In SFV they said they designed Ryu to be a "close range" fighter (which he never had been before. Also Ken exists). Instead of giving him more close-range tools, they just took away everything else and made his mid-range game trash so you didn't have a choice lol. Talk about horrendous character design. Don't even get me started on SFV Zangief.....

2017年8月17日 · I think Ryu, more than probably any other character, really illustrates how straightforward SFV is. People talk a lot about lack of identity and stuff, and I think because of his design, he demonstrates this well. Ryu can be played, as you said, in a lot of different ways.

2023年3月4日 · Only good thing I can think is the oki you can get off of a tatsu combo finsher but you have to get the hit first. I found success with him by polishing the fundamentals and staying right outside the opponents attack range. More with whiff punishing. I will say however, proficiency with SFV Ryu does prep you well for SF6. And he's awesome in 6
