My main research studies data-driven decision making under uncertainty and prescriptive data an-alytics. In particular, I develop robust, scalable and generalizable methodology for decision-making problems involving o ine/online/observational data arising in the context of machine learning, risk management and revenue management.

2023年9月25日 · Rui Gao, PhD, born in January 1992. She obtained her Master's and PhD degrees from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and Ghent University in Belgium, respectively.

Rui completed a BS in Chemistry from UC Berkeley, followed by a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Harvard University. While a postdoc in Synthetic Neurobiology, he developed novel chemical approaches for expansion microscopy. He then went on to a tenure-track assistant professor job at U Illinois Chicago.
