When I shot my former 4&5/8 BH in .44Sp aside a 4&5/8 Bisley .44Sp, I simply couldn't tell 'much' difference. 2019年6月24日 · My favorite single action carry is a Ruger stainless flat top in 45 colt, my favorite for hunting is the Ruger stainless Super Blackhawk with the heavier frame and Bisley grip. If you are buying a 44 or smaller and do not shoot anything over 240 grain bullets, a plow handle is fine, but the big kickers really need the Bisley grip.

2024年2月3日 · Also, the Bisley is a steel grip frame so it’s heavier than the alloy BH grip frame. But the recoil is still more jarring to me. If you have small hands the distance from the top of the backstrap to the trigger is a little longer on the Bisley. Thin grips can help.

I have a couple I have done and like the results. I do have a couple more frames and hammers waiting for future projects. I even converted a Wrangler.

2024年5月6日 · Picked up a used bisley hunter in 45 colt, and also own a bisley convertible stainless in 45 colt. The grips on the hunter feel a bit chunky to my hand. What are some of the preferred sources for aftermarket grips? Not looking for rubber. Wood/laminate would be good.

2012年2月27日 · For a world competition in 1894, in Bisley England, Colt came up with an extended grip with a flatter trigger and hammer. The longer grip allowed a better grip on the gun when firing. Thereafter (cute phrase, huh) the gun configuration was known as Colt's bisley. Then later changed to Bisley when other gun makers came out with the new grip.
