Since 1982, Nevada SPCA has been Southern Nevada’s original no-kill animal shelter (formerly located on Dewey Drive). We are the community shelter, funded by the community and for the community. Our shelter is an independent 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that is completely supported by donations from individuals, local businesses, and grants.

Nevada SPCA is now open to walk-ins! All dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. All rabbits are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for RHDV. These services are included in the adoption fee. Our actual cost per animal averages $726*.

The SPCA of Northern Nevada has temporarily closed our Adoption Center for essential and urgent HVAC repairs. We will be reopening in early March. As a result of the closure, we must also pause our affordable community spay/neuter program (SNYPS) for the month of February.
