Roy Ronald Kuljian (aka Roy K., Friends of Roy) is the founder of Sexaholics Anonymous. He was born on March 1, 1927 and passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at age 82. Roy was a resident of Simi Valley, Ventura County, California.

Sexaholics Anonymous was founded by Roy K. (in twelve-step fellowships it is customary to refer to members by their first name and the first initial of their last name, in order to preserve their anonymity). SA received permission from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) to use its Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions in 1979. [2]

Breaking the lust barrier has proven to be the great obstacle in recovery. This book takes up where Steps One through Ten leave off. How is lust like a virus? How do photography and the Image Revolution spread and mutate the virus? Roy K. also wrote a science fiction recovery novel, Genesis Interface, in his own name, published in 1985.

It has been way over a decade since our founder died. Roy K. died on September 15, 2009 at the age of 82. He died with approximately 33 years of sexual sobriety. Why am I sharing about it now? I just don’t want the Fellowship to forget the gift …

2015年8月13日 · Roy came from a background of legalistic religion. He wanted to avoid that legalism in SA. His opposition to endorsing same-sex sexualising as sober in SA come from his understanding of the nature of lust and the experience of the many SA members from a same-sex background who attest to the value of the SA Sobriety Definition .
