The Rohingya people (/ roʊˈhɪndʒə, - ɪŋjə /; Rohingya: 𐴌𐴗𐴥𐴝𐴙𐴚𐴒𐴙𐴝 (romanization: ruáingga), IPA: [rʊˈɜi̯ɲ.ɟə]) are a stateless ethnic group who predominantly follow Islam [8][14][15] and reside in Rakhine State, Myanmar.
The Rohingya genocide is a series of ongoing persecutions and killings of the Muslim Rohingya people by the military of Myanmar.
