2023年2月13日 · Patellofemoral syndrome (PFS) is one of the most common causes of anterior knee pain. It is commonly known as runner's knee, patellofemoral pain syndrome, retropatellar pain syndrome, lateral facet compression syndrome, or idiopathic anterior knee pain.

With increasing flexion, the amount of extension force necessary for its neutralization increases the pressure across the patellofemoral joint.

Retropatellar osteoarthritis is a rare, particular type of osteoarthritis of the knee affecting the cartilage layer behind or under the kneecap. Osteoarthritis of the kneecap can occur by itself, but other parts of the knee joint can be affected by osteoarthritis at the same time.

Results: Magnetic resonance imaging showed good to excellent defect fill with complete integration. The mean MOCART score was 61 (range 50-75) points. The mean Henderson score was 7 (range 6-9) points. All patients showed subchondral bone alterations.
