
Infineon Technologies Residential Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
2020年7月20日 · Infineon Residential Storage Solutions (ESS) offers various products to create and manage resilient energy infrastructures at an optimal cost. ESS has two primary use cases. The first is creating utility-independent, solar-powered homes (residential ESS).
Battery-based ESS technology can respond to power drop-outs in under a second, making use of clean energy, sourced from collocated solar or wind plants. In such before-the-meter cases, ESS functions as bulk storage coupled with either renewables generation or transmission and distribution systems.
Use ESS in a self-consumption system, a backup system with solar, or a mixture of both. For example, you can use 30% of the battery capacity for self-consumption and keep the remaining 70% available as a backup in the event of a utility grid failure. ESS can be configured to optimise self-consumption or to keep batteries charged.
