Rebecca Suzanne Whisnant[1] is professor and chair of the philosophy department at the University of Dayton. [2] Whisnant gained her degree in philosophy from Oberlin College in 1989. [3] . She went on to complete a masters (1992), and a Ph.D. (2002), both in philosophy, at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. [1][4]

Dr. Whisnant's primary research is in ethical theory and feminist social theory. She received her M.A. and Ph.D in philosophy from UNC-Chapel Hill. From 2001-03, she taught at the University of Southern Indiana, and she joined the University of Dayton in 2003.
