Raxone is a medicine used to treat visual impairment in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON), an inherited disease characterised by progressive loss of sight.

Raxone is indicated for the treatment of visual impairment in adolescent and adult patients with Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON) (see section 5.1). Treatment should be initiated and supervised by a physician with experience in LHON. The recommended dose is 900 mg/day idebenone (300 mg, 3 times a day).
