Rat Lord may not seem like it, but in my humble opinion, they are a shining beacon of originality in a music genre where it is so easy to just fit in, be generic. Their pretty unique brand of satirical grind, with lyrics that hold no punches against black metal and choruses that even cross over into indie, it’s just amazing.

2024年9月28日 · RAT LORD’s “Blazed In The Northern Sky” is one part fun, one part ripper, summing up to a total blast. Northern European bands are often dead serious about their craft. It’s great to bump into a band that can execute exceptionally well but also not take themselves or the entire Extreme Metal scene too seriously.

The trio returns with the same gritty and destructive powerviolence/grindcore sound that earned them praise for their 2022 debut, This Is Not A Record .

The band is made up of guitarist/vocalist Yngve Andersen and drummer Sigurd Haakaas (both from Blood Command) and bassist Martine Green.
