D&D 5E The D&D rapier: What is it? - EN World
2017年9月13日 · See the rapier evolved for a very narrow use-case scenario - civilian combats and duels vs unarmored humans. Rapiers did poorly vs armor (a way to "cheat" in a duel was to wear a fine shirt of mail underneath your clothes as extra protection), were poor cutters and were often slow to kill - a stab in the gut, pre modern medicine, was lethal ...
D&D 5E rapier+dagger and/or longsword+dagger? - EN World
2015年12月29日 · If the flavour is what is important, bear in mind that he could fight holding both a rapier and dagger, he just can't make a bonus action attack using the dual-wielding rules. If he goes Fighter, you could just swap the fighting style bonus with the feat, so the fighting style grants the ability to dual-wield non-light weapons, and the feat ...
D&D 5E Rapiers and Rogues - EN World
2014年6月6日 · 1 Rapier vs 2 Short Swords is not just a damage tradeoff, its also a question of action economy and free hand availability. When you are two-weapon fighting with short swords, it takes up your other free hand and leaves you unable to use any bonus actions such Cunning Action. 1 Rapier 1d8 + Dex damage, 1 action 1 hand.
D&D 5E - Do I get sneak attack if I throw a Rapier or whack ... - EN …
2021年2月12日 · A rapier can be used as an improvised thrown weapon, but it's also a finesse weapon. Therefore I would go with the same ruling as the dagger. Hitting someone with an improvised club (the crossbow example) would not qualify …
D&D 5E Dual Wielding Feat and Rapiers - EN World
2015年1月24日 · Hey all, Trying my hand at a Rogue 5/Fighter 5 build focused around dual-wielding and defense. If I'm reading the rules right, after taking the Dual Wielder feat, there is nothing to stop me from dual-wielding two rapiers, correct? As a finesse fighter, that seems the most effective way to...
D&D 5E Why do wizards STILL have to use daggers, etc.? - EN World
2015年7月11日 · I played the basic rules boxed set in the 1980s when the Magic-User got one magic missile and then had to use a dagger for the rest of the adventure. I was recently excited to start playing again with my kids and 5e, which I like in general. However, even with cantrips (new to me) we still have a few spells and then pull out the ole dagger!
D&D 5E Rapier & Hand Crossbow Rogue - EN World
2014年9月11日 · Yeah, the question about loading from Crossbow Expert has been argued to death on a couple of other forums. Official ruling from WotC's Mike Mearls was that you do indeed need a free hand to load the crossbow, so rapier + crossbow or dual-wielding crossbows would not be possible for more than one round (unless you have some fancy magical device or automated contraption or somethi
D&D (2024) Two Weapon Fighting and Nick article - EN World
2024年8月9日 · In theory though, you could swap out your scimitar for a longsword and actually use it with two hands (it's versatile, not two-handed, technically) for 1d10 damage, rather than the 1d6 of a rapier. Of course, a longsword isn't finesse, so you'd have to be Strength-based to get the maximum efficiency from this combo, and invest a whole feat in it.
D&D 5E Using a Finesse Weapon with STR and DEX - EN World
2016年4月7日 · Wondering if the rules would support using DEX for the Rapier outside of raging and when raging, switch to STR modifiers so as to gain that bonus. A bit cheesy, maybe, although I think the rules support it: Finesse: When making an attack with a finesse weapon, you use your choice of your STR or DEX modifier for the attack and damage rolls.
D&D 5E Elven and Dwarfin Weapon Types - EN World
2020年7月21日 · I would argue that a finesse longsword is a rapier and a heavy, versitle light hammer is a warhammer. I could see a finesse mace or a finesse battle axe as a new weapon, but how many elven forges would build such a thing? A finesse maul or a heavy, versatle dagger is pretty hard to envision and these are the weapons that would be difficult.
