2007年7月28日 · My technique is more of a “cutaway” than a “cutscene,” where the focus leaves the adventure for awhile and comes back later, and where all actions that take place in the cutaway are determined by the players. Done correctly, and with the right type of players, a cutaway can be a handy GM tool in its own right.

We’ve used cutaways in our own campaigns extensively and learned many a lesson on how to do it effectively while keeping everyone interested. So here are ten tips to use the cutaway most effectively! As a storyteller: Use cutaways only in places where it is safe to split the party and easy for PCs to find interesting people to interact with.

2017年7月20日 · So, I'm just practicing making various scenes, and the cutaway/meanwhile scenes (i.e. scenes taking place away from the MC) are killing me. I realize that turning transparency off, transferring the PC to the area, creating fade-ins and outs, and other transitions are key, but I keep messing it up.

2021年10月22日 · For those who enjoy this stuff, here is a cutaway of RPGs. I’ve always liked cutaways, showing how they function. Just FYI that isn't a LAW, that is a RPG-22 and a PG-7 cutaway. Nice cutaways. Would love to have those in the collection. One correction though, I believe the first one is an RPG-22 which is very similar to the M72 series.
