The reason we think the unexpected flood of account inquiries was caused by the mention of our accounts on a TV show seen by 3 million people is because we don’t do mass advertising and have always paid competitive rates.

2025年1月20日 · Hi I have taken out a savings account with RCI Bank UK and when sendint the initial £100 to open the account I noticed it was going to HSBC Bank rather than RCI Bank. I tried to transfer more funds today and Chase Bank refuse to transfer the funds as its going to HSBC and not to RCI Bank.

2022年11月14日 · Thanks - it is a fixed term a/c (1.5 years or so remaining) but on my "account details" page it says clearly that the full amount, including accrued interest, is available for withdrawal. But my point is that whether this is so or not, RCI are not communicating with me as any bank should feel obliged to.

2017年2月23日 · Annoyingly, some banks (e.g. Metro Bank) send from a centralised account so RCI Bank won't accept payments from there. So I had to nominate an account at another bank. Otherwise they seem fine. Staff are friendly and respond to emails quickly.

2020年5月17日 · With RCI bank it's the reference number that's the important bit. RCI are very good and have great customer service, but the issue the OP is having is at the RBS side of things, so would suggest giving RBS a call if you struggle. Just make sure they remember to include your RCI reference number or else RCI will bounce your money back.

2020年5月13日 · RCI also pretty damn fast - certainly same day. Except when I came to close the account when the account disappeared immediately from the RCI platform, yet the balance took quite a few days to reach my bank. Leaving me unable to check progress, or closing interest. Which seemed a bit weird.

2022年11月22日 · For example, where interest is paid monthly, RCI show the wrong AER for interest in the account. Instead of stating the 1 year AER as being 4.60%, it gives the AER figure as being 4.51%, which should have been the agreed monthly applied rate figure.

2024年3月28日 · I've got a 95 day account with RCI Bank still paying a generous 5.6%, although not for too much longer. Their summary box says "The interest rate is variable, and we can change the rate of interest on existing accounts by giving you at least 109 days’ notice" I have a 90 day account with Oxbury which says "Oxbury can make changes to your interest rate, any such changes will be communicated ...
