2019年12月6日 · I used a manual undervolt/clock as a way to test for degradation. Upon first receiving the 3800x, an undervolt to 1.275v was stable at 4.3Ghz, later on when testing after running auto settings for a while, it required 1.3v. Now, at 1.3v cinebench will crash. I should have known better than to trust the chip giving itself up to 1.39v all core.

During this benchmark, CPU power hits 112 watts. I have experimented with PBO and Auto Overclocking, but these usually results in lower boost clocks, not higher!

2019年12月6日 · My 3800x seems to be running on idle anywhere between 40 - 50c. Stress tests peak at around 75 - 80c. Typical modern PC games seem to go "consistently" around 70c at high settings, although it does touch 80c for a second before the fan speed brings it back down.

2019年12月29日 · I just just upgraded from a 3400G, I was running 4 sticks 8gigs each in dual channel mode. I just upgraded to a 3800x and I can only boot with 2 sticks in single channel mode. Mortar B450M Motherboard and Corsair Vengeance RGB CMR32G4M4C3000C15. I've enabled disabled XMP, manually set the timings, pulled the CMOS battery for 5 hrs etc.
