2016年2月24日 · The internet tells me Mercedes built 180 R63 AMG's in 2007. 30 were supposed to stay in the USA, but records seem to show that 44 did. I've never seen one. I'm a stay at home dad with four kids. Over the years I've had a Volvo wagon, a first generation Honda Odyssey, and for the last few years, a crew cab truck as my dad-mobiles.

Packing a 6.2-liter V8 underhood, the hot rod family hauler was originally rated to produce 503 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, which flows to all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission.

2023年4月18日 · New AMG owner here. Generally love the car (C205 C63S PFL) but performance feels a little underwhelming at times. I've come from a F21 M135i so expected 500+ hp to feel a bigger step up.

2018年7月30日 · The R63 AMG, like the one here from Bring a Trailer had the same basic unusual and awkward design of its more sedate siblings, but featured unique styling elements, such as a more aggressive front fascia, different wheels, and quad pipes. The most noteworthy difference was under the hood.

Fun fact: The Lexus LFA outnumbers the Mercedes R63’s worldwide production figures by a figure of 2.5:1. (500 LFAs were made compared to around 200 R63s) One of the only Mercedes models of that time period that could touch the R63’s rarity was the SL65 Black Series, 300 of which were produced worldwide.

2021年6月11日 · However, I like sleepers that can unfold into monsters on demand, and the R63 is exactly that ... with the exception of its exhaust note. It never truly unfolds into anything - yes, it'll pop and burble, but it's still very tame considering what the engine is, and what the sound can be in the likes of the C63 Black and so on.
