2020年7月28日 · The R1250R is a heavy bike, but the weight is low down, so yeah it handles well for big lump. The Z8 tyres seem to have a sporty profile, and the bike is surpisingly flickable. Though on undulating roads I find the rear end a bit floaty and you can also feel the suspention working hard to keep things in check.

2022年8月25日 · If anything, having an underpowered bike (60 hp) contributed to my satisfaction when sport-riding with friends who had a lot more ponies. That said, there’s no question in my mind that the difference between the R1200R and the R1250R is — well, not day and night, but certainly morning and evening… 😎

2022年7月28日 · The bike was used and had the larger sport-tour screen. The taller plastic does more wind blocking but theres a bit of turbulence that was not a deal breaker, but not perfect either, and the shorter one did the trick. So far, the R1250R does everything pretty damn well. Last time we had a little 'shortcut' and it did OK on gravel too! Great bike.

2022年5月17日 · This info is very helpful, thanks - I'm short so trying to figure out the best option for a new R1250R - I'm guessing the new 23 model takes the same part numbers. In the specs, each seat lists a 'step length' (eg the 820mm 'High riders seat' is 1835mm) - any ideas what this is? As per your post, the standard seat height now seems 820mm.

2022年3月2日 · The MRA you have on r1200r looks nice, and goes well with the overall lines of the bike. The new shield they released for R1250r looks like a sea shell, and really doesn't go well with the bike IMHO. r1250r front side geometry is different, and it has an air scoop under the windshield, which doesn't add to the esthetics.

2021年3月10日 · I assume you got the R1250R because you wanted a more "naked" bike for most of your riding. It is a great bike as is for long distances...the only real issue for touring is long days, rider fatigue and weather protection. Picking a windshield is the best way to reduce fatigue ...bu the actual choice is HIGHLY personal. so many choices!!!!

2021年9月28日 · To be fair, the R1250R (at least my blacked-out HP, with beautiful white paint) is probably the most beautiful BMW bike I've seen from every angle... except the front. Ha ha. And that's because it doesn't have the beautiful engine all covered, and it has single-sided swing-arm with beautiful wheels, and a beautiful shaft drive unit.
