Surah An-Najm (Arabic text: النجم‎) is the 53rd chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Star” and it consists of 62 verses... In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form.

An-Najm[1] (Arabic: النجم, an-najm; meaning: The Star) is the 53rd chapter (surah) of the Quran, with 62 verses (āyāt). The surah opens with the oath of the Divine One swearing by every one of the stars, as they descend and disappear beneath the horizon, that Muhammad is indeed God's awaited Messenger.

This Surah has 62 verses and resides between pages 526 to 528 in the Quran. The Surah derives its name from the very first word wan Najm. This title also does not relate to the subject matter, but is a name given to the Surah as a symbol.
