Mandrax was available in the UK til the 1980's but nowadays I believe the quaaludes in existence are the so-called Lemmons produced in S. Africa. It's a shame. I never tried disco biscuits but old-timers get tears in their eyes talking about them. MXE is the contemporary equivalent.

2015年7月23日 · Quaaludes are a very unique drug that really can't be compared to anything. I'd say GHB is the closest thing. One thing I know now is that you cannot take it and function in the slightest in society so if you're lucky enough to come across this extinct drug then do it in the privacy of your home.

The main chemical in these drugs, methaqualone, is neither impossible nor even that difficult to synthesize. A few procedures don't actually require anything you wouldn't find in a well-stocked high school or college chemistry department, however they take a longer period of time and produce a lower yield.

Well given that the class is Quaaludes, yeah it probably is but MMQ and EQ are fairly great as well. Plus you can sniff or smoke MMQ and oral EQ is fairly close to MQ but lacks the heavy sedative capacity, so you just get the euphoria. MMQ however, I would rate at about 97% as good as MQ if given the option.
