2022年5月26日 · Qi Rong was furious that Xie Lian wouldn't literally genocide the Yong'Ans prioritize victory at any cost, saw this as ineptitude, and ultimately blamed this for the fall of their Kingdom. Perhaps Qi Rong was right to criticize Xie Lian's methods, but he did so because he didn't understand why Xie Lian struggled to find alternative solutions.

2022年8月23日 · I genuinely don’t understand why people only like characters who „do good things“. Reading a book where everyone is nice and friendly would be incredibly boring. I like Qi Rong because he makes the story more interesting. He‘s a little sh*t (most of the time) but his missing moral compass is exactly what makes me enjoy reading his parts.

Xie Lian stepped in to stop Qi Rong when Qi Rong's actions involved other people, but Xie Lian seemingly ran out of patience eventually, and ignored him. Some time later, likely either because Qi Rong was mortal and/or Xie Lian stopped hearing about him entirely, at some point Xie Lian assumed Qi Rong died.

2022年7月18日 · Qi rong somehow gets wind of or orchestrates a plot to bring down the new kingdom. The first attempt was when LQQ gets kidnapped as a child. They did not expect the guoshi (Xie Lian in one of his many covers) to save LQQ and demonstrates the famous blocking move. This blocking move is how LQQ later recognizes XL.

2022年10月29日 · An Le was the last surviving member of the Xian Le royal family, and Lang Qianqiu’s “best friend”. He helped Qi Rong attempt to kidnap Lang Qianqiu. He also helped with the massacre of the Yong An royals, in an attempt to avenge Xian Le. Xie Lian tried to stop said massacre but was too late, and found the King, who was still alive.

2023年2月2日 · He's chaotic evil, lol, and he brings out sides of Xie Lian we would never know existed. Xie Lian comes dangerously close to being too good, too perfect - Qi Rong brings him right back down to earth. And once in a while, Qi Rong hits Xie Lian where it hurts most, with blunt truths Xie Lian would prefer to bury deep inside and pretend don't exist.

2022年6月7日 · Yet, when the other half of the mask fell and Qi Rong’s entire face was revealed, it became obvious that he didn’t look that much like Xie Lian after all. Their noses, lips, and the contours of their lower jaws were similar in shape, but their brows and eyes were quite different. Xie Lian’s eyes were calm and peaceful.
