The Pythonidae, commonly known as pythons, are a family of nonvenomous snakes found in Africa, Asia, and Australia. Among its members are some of the largest snakes in the world.

This is a list of all extant genera, species, and subspecies of the snakes of the family Pythonidae, otherwise referred to as pythonids or true pythons. It follows the taxonomy currently provided by ITIS, [1] which is based on the continuing work of Roy McDiarmid [2] and has been updated with additional recently described species. [3][4][5]
