Aug 24, 2021 · Full black screen and screen off are essentially the same for the pixels. However the tv electronics are still "on". I have a UPS which shows power usage and it's about 40 watts to just have the TV on with a black screen or with the screen off feature.

Sep 10, 2016 · Honestly, the easiest option is to just download a picture of a completely black screen (or create your own in a program like Paint 3D which comes in Windows 10). Open it, throw it onto your second monitor, if you're using the default Photos app (Windows), click the 3 dots in the upper right corner and then select the "slideshow" option.

Mar 13, 2023 · Windows comes with perfect OLED screensaver - Mystify. It has a black "baseline" so it won't wear out the pixels, while washing out the screen with colorful lines. I prefer Mystify also because when you use black screensaver, OLED screen looks the same as if it was turned off (if you have WRGB OLED, that is) .

Aug 10, 2020 · If we follow this logic, what I believe might happen is that you’ll loose on brightness because the pixels while being black because they are turned off are still getting fed a signal and electricity. Then again this is pure guessing from my part, it would be great to get someone who knows this stuff to answer, it’s a great question !

Oct 5, 2023 · Hi everyone, I've just installed Pure 190 so I can try out the SKY 1.5 update, even as I followed the steps mentioned by PURE and SOL, something went wrong. I've uninstalled ReShade as well, because I thought it might have interfered with the new Pure version.
