Puabi (Akkadian: 𒅤𒀜 pu3-AD fl. c. 2550 BC[4]), also called Shubad or Shudi-Ad due to a misinterpretation by Sir Charles Leonard Woolley, was an important woman in the Sumerian city of Ur, during the First Dynasty of Ur. [4] .

The raw materials used to make this jewelry came from a great distance, and represented Ur’s far-reaching trade connections. From skeletal remains, the excavators determined that Puabi was about five feet tall and 40 years old.
