2020年7月10日 · Gonna struggle. Pop smoke has a very unique voice and even the other NY Drill guys have higher pitched voices than him. You’ll find plenty in the same style if you listen to NY and UK drill, but none with his unique sound to his voice.

I heard people saying it’s terrible and all that and I see why they say that. The beat is very unusual for Pop, and it was just weird as first. The features were too dragged out, and some were unnecessary. To be frank, it grew on me. I won’t say it’s the best pop smoke song, in fact it’s far from it, but it’s okay.

For someone who enjoys people like Benny The Butcher, or Kendrick, or Jcole, Pop Smoke wouldn’t be the type of rap they’re accustomed to. Pop never rapped about politics or real shit going on in the world because he didn’t need to. He was also on his way to becoming a global superstar, so I think a lot of people take that into account too.

He confirmed that they’re unlikely to release anymore Pop Smoke projects due to the backlash they got from fans when Faith dropped. Sounds like there still is some music left in the vault but the way people reacted to certain things really fucked Victor, Rico etc. off.
