Ponzu's kinda just doesn't she just a example of the tragedy to come. Kite gets ofscreened but he at least accomplished letting gon and killua flee and he gets a epic stand with one arm. Kite despite being ofsceeened has a reasonable respectful way of getting killed. Ponzu gets killed in the most tragic and most disrespectful way possible.

I mean, there was really no point in her dying. She could've just told Kite's group directly about the Chimera Ants. Even if she died or not, it wasn't gonna impact the story ...

2019年1月20日 · When Ponzu died i stopped watching HxH for two weeks because I just couldnt accept it. I liked her and i wanted to see her grow as a side charachter in that arc. I know she and Pokkle died to make us hate those ants even more but god damn it i already hated them when they ate those two child.

Similarly in HxH there are very few Hunter deaths in the Chimera Arc, but since Ponzu and crew/Kite are offed in the very beginning, you have that feeling of danger in every encounter that follows.
