Any normal level polearm (except Bardiche) can get 4 sockets from the Larzuk quest if their ilvl is between 26-40. You can see area levels here. Since you don't have a socket quest, farm in NM and hope one drops.

In general fighter gets the best feat support for it (as they do most weapon styles), like Lunge to keep foes out of reach and force them to provoke reactions to swing back at you. And Giant Barbarian can basically stab the entire map.

2023年9月19日 · For Polearm Master I asume you want to just hit and smite a lot. In which case the main thing you'll want is: The Polearm Master Feat. This gives you an attack with a bonus action, and you can smite with this attack. This also gives you an attack as a reaction when someone comes into your weapon's reach, which is always nice.

2023年2月24日 · This is the most accurate way a knight would fight. I wish polearms were more accessible in vanilla. I get why they sort of got rid of them, but polearms were the main weapons in medieval warfare.

2014年10月6日 · Spear is the only polearm that can be wielded one-handed in 5e (except Lance, but that's only allowed when mounted). It'll deal 1d6 and can be thrown, but it doesn't have any extra reach and doesn't qualify for the effects of the Polearm Master feat. Oddly enough, the Quarterstaff DOES work for Polearm Master's effects.
